From Audition to Applause

Ever wonder what really happens before the curtain goes up? Join the Smith Mountain Arts Council's Lake Players and Director James Honaker for a fun, free, hands-on theater class. The classes will be focused and designed for people who are interested in becoming a part of live theater. They may have little or no theater experience or want to have a better understanding of a particular position we will be covering. Those will include being on stage as an actor, working behind stage as a stage manager, back stage crew assisting with set changes, technical positions running the lights and sound for shows, choreographers, music directors for musicals, set design and construction. Email us for more information.
